Heterogeneous Factors Influencing Electric Vehicle Acceptance: Application of Structural Equation Modeling

Since electric vehicle (ELV) deployment can contribute to overall renewable energy sources, exploration of the heterogeneous influence factors (HIFs) affecting willingness accept ELVs assist in realization sustainable development goals, particularly universal access affordable for all. In this research, we explored HIFs that individuals (WAELV) within an integrated decision-making (IDM) framework. We established IDM conceptual framework through incorporation HIFs, notably including environmental and health benefits ELVs, knowledge about innovation, regarding built environment creating a comprehensive structure. analyzed data gathered questionnaires from urban peri-urban areas Shandong province (China) by employing partial least square structural equation modeling technique, which is appropriate tool analyzing measured on Likert scale. The key findings were as follows. Firstly, capital cost was found be significant barrier WAELV individuals. Secondly, among other factors, societal aspect awareness drivers across all samples. However, environment, only positively drove setting sample. Thirdly, these three identified neutral areas. Thus, clear disparity detected between terms influencing Finally, social revealed strongest driver, while turned out weakest factor. Based findings, some crucial policies are here extracted.
